Biggest goal is to write songs for other artists and collaborate on huge hits that stand the test of time. Have even already written original songs in some other artist’s styles already such as: Labrinth, Beyonce, Adele, Post-Malone, Rhianna, Doja cat, Moonchild Sanelly, Bruno Mars, Beabadoobee, Ed Sheeran, and many more.

origin story:

Starting out as an aspiring Tribute act for chimeracal blend of ‘Arctic monkeys' + ‘Peach Pit’ vocals/cover songs - intricate melodies and colourful, expansive discographies… quickly evolved into the Plum Baboon records lineage.

Capsetime | S S Myth was more of a phase but happened for a reason. A bit too long-winded + Asbtract for stagename, I not long made the decision to keep it as a relic for an album title instead. Essentially it’s an abbreviation for '“time cap-samuel” as I thought wearing the same clothes provided a bit of functionality and continuity to the brand. I’ve always loved the concept of time-travel + related films like “BTTF”. Along with this and countless other literary references, is partly the reason that led me to wear this uniform basically. Consequently this makes my touring life easier, and more easily recognisable so I can grow the brand to where I want it to be!
+ related to my music, similar to Post-Malone’s throne for the king of “no genres yet all genres”, which coincidentally is similar to the philosophy of Bruce Lee’s “Jeet Kune Do”, my sound is heavily influenced by various genres across the ages in music, so this also acts as a reflection of that specific artistic choice also.

But much like the laws of band names, Led Zeppelin, Guns & Roses, Def leppard, Foo Fighters, Tame Impala, Rolling stones. I kept the name purely out of purely in their honour and to follow tradition.

I’ve spent most of my life as a groundsman, working with the earth, the seasons, and the quiet rhythms of the landscape. There’s a certain frequency you find when you’re that close to the ground—something raw and organic.There was always another frequency calling.

Plum Baboon Records was born from that transition. It’s the sound of a 'Nature Boy' moving into the digital world—what I call the 'Nature Glitch' in honour of some of my songs.

Where the grit of the northern roots meets the sophisticated mystery of the modern independent label.
